The plants can remain in the box for up to 48 hours after delivery. Giving it as a gift? Then select your preferred delivery date in the shopping cart, or unpack the plants upon arrival and give them some water, daylight, and a bit of love.
You will receive the product as shown in the product photo with white background. The other photos are meant for inspiration, atmosphere, and examples.
After Christmas, you can reuse the terrarium by removing the festive decorations or refreshing it with a terrarium refill set.
Because it contains seasonal products, the contents may differ slightly from the photo. But we always provide a fitting and atmospheric replacement.
Plants such as Aloe Humilis and Picea are not typical terrarium plants and will not stay beautiful as long in a closed terrarium as plants that are specifically suited for it.
The terrarium does not include a cork. Our limited Christmas editions are offered without a cork because the decorative items are not designed for a closed terrarium. Therefore, make sure to always keep the plants and moss inside the terrarium moist.

The Calathea Makoyana terrarium plant needs little light. Place the Calathea in a spot with (semi) shade without direct sunlight. Too much sunlight is harmful to the plant and will lead to brown edges on the leaves.The Calathea requires high humidity and is therefore very suitable as a terrarium plant.
What is special about this green / purple Calathea is that the leaves are 'alive'. The plant closes its leaves in the evening to open them again in the morning. Because of this, they also call it the 'living plant'.

Wij verzenden onze planten in duurzame blisterverpakkingen om ze tijdens transport vers en onbeschadigd te houden. De verpakkingen zijn gemaakt van 100% gerecycled plastic en zijn zo ontworpen dat er minder materiaal nodig is voor dezelfde mate van bescherming.
Het lichte gewicht van de verpakkingen zorgt voor minder impact op het milieu tijdens transport. Bovendien zorgt het ontwerp ervoor dat de verpakkingen makkelijk gestapeld kunnen worden en er geen ruimte verspild wordt.
Als consument kun je de verpakkingen gemakkelijk recyclen, waardoor er minder afvalvorming is.
Waarom wij kiezen voor plastic blisterverpakkingen?
Tegenwoordig roept plastic vaak allemaal slechte gevoelens bij ons op als we eraan denken in het kader van duurzaamheid. Begrijpelijk maar soms is het gebruik ervan een weloverwogen keuze.
Wij kiezen specifiek voor 100% gerecycled plastic waardoor wij geen eis leggen nieuwe grondstoffen om onze verpakkingen te produceren. De verpakkingen zijn erg sterk en robuust wat ervoor zorgt dat de planten vers en heel aankomen. Zo worden er minder planten verspild en kunnen we u van een kwalitatief product voorzien.
De verpakkingen zijn vochtbestendig en lichtdoorlatend waardoor er een microklimaat in de verpakking ontstaat. Dit klimaat zorgt voor voldoende vocht en licht tijdens het transport waardoor jij uiterst verse planten ontvangt dankzij de blisterverpakkingen.
Daarnaast kosten de plasticverpakkingen uiterst weinig energie om te recyclen en produceren. De energiezuinigheid hiervan was doorslaggevend bij het selecteren van de geschikte beschermende verpakking voor onze lavendel planten.
