Cushion moss or bun moss (Latin name: Leucobryum glaucum) is ideal for use in terrariums or closed mini ecosystems. This bag contains 2 pieces of fresh moss, a handy amount for a smaller terrarium or for filling in the last bare spots. Our moss is always fresh, green, moist and ready to use. It is sourced from Poland, where it grows in designated and well maintained areas.

Use this moss to decorate your plant terrarium or to cover bare spots in the soil or against the background. It works in both open and closed terrariums, and also outside the glass as green decoration in a bowl or on a plant tray.

This white gravel forms the drainage layer at the bottom of your terrarium. It catches excess water so your plants do not get wet roots. The bright colour shows clearly through the glass and gives your terrarium a clean base.Why use drainage gravelA drainage layer keeps water away from the roots. When you water your terrarium or when condensation drips down, the water collects in the gravel instead of sitting around the soil. This prevents root rot and keeps your plants healthy inside a closed jar.The white colour stands out nicely against the dark soil and green moss layers above it. You see the layers through the glass, which adds visual depth to your terrarium.How to use itPour a layer of 2 to 4 cm of white gravel at the bottom of your glass jar before you add soil.
