Cushion moss or bun moss (Latin name: Leucobryum glaucum) is ideal for use in terrariums or closed mini ecosystems. This bag contains 2 pieces of fresh moss, a handy amount for a smaller terrarium or for filling in the last bare spots. Our moss is always fresh, green, moist and ready to use. It is sourced from Poland, where it grows in designated and well maintained areas.

Use this moss to decorate your plant terrarium or to cover bare spots in the soil or against the background. It works in both open and closed terrariums, and also outside the glass as green decoration in a bowl or on a plant tray.
Use it to create small mounds or hills, or to mimic mini grass fields in your terrarium. The moss is ready for use, but in some cases it helps to clean the pieces with your hand or a brush first.
Cushion moss thrives directly on the surface, pebbles, gravel or sand, as long as there is good drainage and enough humidity. Misting now and then with a spray bottle keeps your moss even greener.
Our pieces range from 6 to 12 cm in diameter. Pieces of various sizes are selected at random based on availability. Did you receive a piece that is too large? No worries, cushion moss is easy to resize by simply breaking it.

The premium activated carbon (charcoal) from urbanjngl is an excellent addition to the drainage layer of your terrarium. This 25 gram bag is the right amount for one smaller build, or a handy top up if you are running low.
Activated carbon removes unwanted metals, pollutants and odours from your terrarium. It works in both open and closed setups, though it makes the biggest difference in a closed terrarium where the same water keeps circulating.
How to use it
