Cork tamper - terrarium tool - 22,5 cm

Description

This cork tamper helps you press down sand and soil layers evenly when you build a terrarium in a narrow jar. The brown cork head spreads the pressure gently, so you can create neat horizontal layers without scattering the substrate.

What it does

Use the tamper to press down each layer of sand, activated charcoal or potting soil after you add it to the bottle. This way the layers stay compact and level, and you avoid air pockets that might cause mould later. The tool is especially handy for tall bottles with a narrow opening where your hand does not fit.

How to use it

Hold the tamper by the handle and guide the cork head down to the layer you just added. Press down gently and move the tamper around to flatten the whole surface. Repeat for each new layer until your terrarium base is ready for the plants.

      Beautiful and well-designed terrarium

      The Dome XL arrived safely and well packed. The two-part glass design is beautiful, practical and provides plenty of space for creating a planted micro-ecosystem. The kit was straightforward to assemble, and the finished terrarium looks elegant both at home and in the office. I am very satisfied with the product and look forward to observing how the ecosystem develops over time.

      Bin fröhlich mit den Biosphären. Ich habe nur an je einer Pflanze schwarze Flecken auf den Blättern bekommen und Trauermücken haben sich eingenistet. Mal schauen wie ich das wieder in den Griff kriege.
