Here's how to create your own Monstera in a vase:
-
Clean the vase and fill the bottom with room-temperature water.
-
Remove the plastic nursery pot from the plant and gently remove most of the potting soil from the roots, minimizing damage to the roots.
-
Rinse away any remaining potting soil residue by holding the roots under running water, and then place the houseplant in the vase. Make sure only the roots are partially submerged in the water.
-
Done! Simple, right? We thought so too. Now, all you have to do is find a nice spot for it.
Important - Do not fully submerge the roots in the water; fill the water level to about halfway up the roots. This ensures the roots receive enough oxygen. It's also important to note that the Monstera is toxic to both pets and young children.
Light requirements – The Monstera in a vase thrives best in partial shade or in a well-lit location with indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight for the Monstera.
Watering – We recommend changing the water every two weeks. Lift the Monstera out of the vase, discard the water, clean the vase if necessary, and refill it with room-temperature water.
